Hollywood’s recent fight with streaming services over their eligibility for an Oscar is coming to an end. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences decided they would not change the eligibility rules for streaming services. According to UPROXX, Steven Spielberg was a strong force against Netflix films being able to compete with Hollywood films. This controversy occurred after “Roma” won three Oscars this year even though it was mostly streamed on Netflix.
