Anti-LGBTQ protest draws larger counter protest at Towson

A man has been arrested after Towson University students rallied to counter-protest a hate group that appeared on their campus Thursday afternoon. According to Towson University Police, officers were called to the protest held by the external group and relocated them to ensure the safety of their campus community. A spokesperson with the university says the man had no ties to the institution and was arrested during the demonstration. Towson University student Ana Lorenzo tweeted a video saying the hate group were men holding signs that stated “Homos are rapists” and “women belong in the kitchen.”
