Cold front brings strong storms and winds Friday

A cold front will approach the area on Friday evening with windy conditions developing ahead of the front throughout the morning. Winds may gust as high as 40 mph through the afternoon with increasing chances for showers and storms. The greatest severe weather threat should remain to our north but some storms may move into the area with enough strength by late afternoon and evening for a damaging wind threat.
