The U.S. Attorney General is ending asylum seekers’ opportunity to ask for bond in front of an immigration judge. The ruling expands indefinite detention for migrants waiting months or years for their cases to be heard. This was the first immigration court ruling from President Donald Trump’s new Attorney General. According to Reuters, Attorney General William Bar is working to be more tough with the asylum process. This comes as tens of thousands of mostly Central Americans are crossing the U.S. border asking for refuge.
