Ohio passes on of the nation's strictest abortion bans

The legislation signed today by Gov. Mike DeWine would make abortion illegal at the first sign of a detectable fetal heartbeat — about five or six weeks into a pregnancy, or two weeks after a missed period. Planned Parenthood and other abortion rights supporters have pledged to sue.
