"I think it drew attention for a lot of reasons. I think in many ways, people on the right felt vindicated. I know there were a lot of moderate people that came over and realized that what I was talking about were actually real issues in black America," she said.
Instead of humoring the Democrats' obsession with the non-existent epidemic of white nationalist/supremacist hate crimes, Owens had used her pulpit at the hearing Tuesday to highlight to the Democrats those genuine issues that actually affect the black community.
