According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, chief executives of several large US banks appeared before Congress, giving lawmakers their first opportunity to grill lenders since the 2007-2009 financial crisis. Democratic lawmakers reportedly focused on who banks were doing business with, including Russian accounts, as well as the financing of gun manufacturers.
