A ‘Grease’ Prequel Is In The Works

A prequel to **Grease** is coming.
TheWrap reports a new movie about original **Grease** characters, Sandy and Danny, is in the works at Paramount.
**Summer Loving**, written by John August, will tell the story of how the couple first meets and falls in love, inspired by the song of the same name.
Paramount’s 1978 film adaptation of the stage musical **Grease** is one of the top five highest grossing movie musicals of all time.
No cast members for the prequel have been announced.
