Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

As a system departs today, any snow or rain shower will end for awhile, then we may see some breaks of sun this afternoon with highs near 50°. A weak front will pass through later tonight with a couple rain or possibly snow showers. High pressure will build into the area on Wednesday with sunshine, gusty winds & highs in the upper-40s to lower-50s. Thursday will be breezy again and cooler with highs only in the low-40s. There is the potential for a little rain/mix on Friday morning. 60s look to make it here for the upcoming weekend, but we'll have a chance for a few showers on Sunday. Gusty SE winds will keep it cooler near the lake. So far it has been relatively dry which is good for the ongoing flooding situation on a couple of rivers. River flood warnings remain in place for the Wolf River and the Fox River. The latest data is showing the rivers beginning to slowly drop.
