Smiling Dog Participates In Potato Chip Campaign

Riley the rescue pup is said to love the camera. And he does pose well. Not only is he photogenic, but he’s a ham, too. This picture was taken about a year ago, in March, 2018, on National Potato Chip Day. They actually have one of those?

The bag design was for the “Smile with Lay’s” campaign, which was meant to bring smile power to kids in need. We hope Lay’s Potato Chips accomplished their goal. The campaigned raised a million dollars. Riley certainly makes us smile with his ridiculous pose. Lay’s selected 40 different smile wearing faces out of all entries, but there was also a way to purchase bags of potato chips with your own smile on the package, if that’s what you wanted.

Riley’s chip of choice is LAY'S® Limón. Not only does the smile on the package line up perfectly with Riley’s mouth, but we can see the smile in Riley’s eyes as well. He’s totally digging the photo op! This makes the whole scene funny as all get out. The video doesn’t change at all, it’s really only about one thing, and that’s Riley holding a bag of chips in his mouth.

We have to give credit to whoever staged this as really creative. Here’s a bag of potato chips. There’s Riley watching. A light goes off in your head!

“Hey, Honey? Get the camera, I want to try something.”

“Say you’re not going to…”

“Ok, I won’t say.”

So, you do it, anyway, without the moral support of your better half. You’re an artist, after all. You can’t stop creativity for every nay sayer! But Riley’s a good sport. He’ll gladly hold the bag of chips while you shutterbug away. The picture is a perfect fit, which almost seems like a happy accident. He has the personality to match!
