A Suicide Prevention and Awareness Event

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says suicide in our country is way up - more than 25% in just the past two decades. That means more Americans die by suicide than homicide or even war. For that reason, scientists, clinicians, and community groups are working tirelessly to find ways to prevent it. Denise Christopher and Amy Duening are on the committee for Behind the Mask Brunch & Fashion Show; it's a fundraiser for a group called Life of Hope that works to prevent suicide and increase awareness. Life of Hope: Behind the Mask Brunch & Fashion Show is happening Saturday, April 6 from 9am to 1pm at Chandelier Ballroom in Hartford. For more information and for tickets, visit LifeOfHopeProject.org or call (262) 429-1556.
