According to Deadspin, Michael Avenatti has been indicted by federal prosecutors in two states for separate cases.
Avenatti has been indicted by the Justice Department's Southern District of New York for attempting to extort Nike, over allegations of a college basketball scandal.
Prosecutors said that Avenatti approached Nike claiming he represented a former AAU coach with evidence that Nike employees paid players, and demanded a settlement for the former coach.
