The first stone circle to be created in the UK in more than 3,000 years has been re-aligned with the moon and the stars - 40 years after it was first erected. The Sighthill Circle, which features 17 stones, has been relocated to a raised mound at the entrance of the community and was unveiled today (Wed) on the Spring equinox. Originally erected in 1979, the stones were visited by druids, pagans, Buddhists at key festivals such as midsummer, midwinter and the equinox. Council chiefs announced in 2012 the landmark circle would be moved as part of a multimillion pound regeneration project in the area.
