Early morning house fire causes damage to nearby homes

KCFD battled a house fire near Winchester and Truman Monday morning. The house was vacant, but the fire did spread to houses directly next door, one of which was occupied. The two people that lived in that home called 911 when they saw flames. They are OK, and were able to head back inside of their home once fire officials assessed the inside.
