A 77-year-old driver crashed his SUV into a Taco Bell on Saturday afternoon. Police say Emmanuel Akowuah and his wife were parked immediately in front of the fast food restaurant at 1799 3rd Street SW in Winter Haven. Around 4:30 p.m., the couple decided to leave. Akowuah told officers he placed the Nissan Rogue in reverse and then back into drive. At that point, the vehicle jumped the curb and crashed through the front of the building.
