Killings in Nigeria

While the events that transpired in New Zealand on Friday were horrific and deserved to be condemned, the American mainstream media's focus on those attacks specifically versus the myriads of attacks that occur daily across the world seems odd and perhaps even telling.

According to a report published Friday by The Christian Post, this week the governor of Nigeria's Kaduna State imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on his constituents because of a recent hash of attacks against the state's mostly Christian residents by Muslim herdsmen.

"At least 120 people have been killed by alleged Fulani militant attacks since February in the Kaduna state of Nigeria with the latest attacks on Monday resulting in the deaths of over 50 and the destruction of more than 140 homes," the Post reported.
