A teenage driver was seconds from death when a massive tree was blown over in high winds - and smashed into her car.
Abbie Mackay was driving to work when the tree was blown down in gale-force winds and crashed in front of her Peugeot 308 on Sunday morning. The 19-year-old business student was driving at 40mph along a single carriageway and slammed on the brakes when the tree came crashing down - smashing her windscreen.
