'Captain Marvel' Makes Biggest Marvel International Opening For IMAX

According to Comicbook.com, “Captain Marvel” had a successful box office opening. The film is the fifth biggest opening of all-time in IMAX theaters and the first-non-sequel to achieve this feat. PR Newswire reported that “Captain Marvel” grossed $141.1 million on 411 IMAX screened domestically. Internationally, the film became the second biggest IMAX opening of all time, making $22 million on 964 screens. For Marvel, “Captain Marvel” became the best international opening in IMAX.
