British actor Sir Ian McKellen ate humble pie Saturday for comments he made about Bryan Singer and Kevin Spacey.
The director and actor have both been accused of sexual harassment and assault by multiple parties.
In a podcast, McKellen had suggested that if closeted people were open about their sexuality, they wouldn't abuse others.
That, of course, is wrong. My intention was to encourage the LGBT audience I was addressing, to be proud and open about their sexuality.
