NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

March came in like a Lion with below normal temps & accumulating snow!! Skies will clear during the day Saturday with high temperatures up in the upper 20s to lower 30s with gusty north/northwest winds at times. A cold front will sweep through the area Saturday night with a few snow showers followed by a very strong arctic high pressure Sunday. Even with tons of sunshine....highs will be 20-25° below normal!! Monday will be even colder with highs in the single digits and morning lows well below zero. Wind chills will make it feel even colder!! We will see a gradual response upwards as highs get back into the upper teens by Thursday. Long range temperature trends are calling for the return of 30s by the middle of the month. Perhaps a sign of spring weather after all?
