Winter weather advisory starts Saturday morning
As a strong storm system begins to get closer to our area, expect increasing clouds tonight with lows in the mid 20s. Around 9am Saturday morning we will start to see freezing rain in our area. As temperatures climb into the upper 30s and lower 40s we’ll see the freezing rain changing over to all rain. Most of the area will receive between 1.00”-1.25”+ of rain through Saturday night. Starting early Sunday morning, rain will transition to snow; about an inch or less of accumulation is expected. Along with the snow expect very gusty winds between 40-50mph. Temperatures will drop from the upper 30s throughout the day on Sunday.
