Boyfriend, family of hit-and-run victim plead with driver

olice are looking for the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian Wednesday morning in Avondale, according to Cincinnati police. Police identified the victim as Holly Burns, 37, who was on her way to work. She was struck by a driver in a newer model red Chevrolet Silverado while crossing Vernon Place, according to a news release. Burns was in the crosswalk when she was hit. The driver left the scene, police said, after hitting Burns at E. University Avenue and Vernon Place at about 6:40 a.m. The driver turned west onto E. University without stopping to check on the victim, said Cincinnati police officer Jon Halusek.
