According to UPI, eating nuts may help people living with type 2 diabetes.
A recent study found that type 2 diabetes patients who ate five servings of nuts per week had a lower risk for cardiovascular disease death.
Patients who participated in the study also had a lower risk for developing coronary heart disease.
Overall, total cardiovascular disease events for patients who ate nuts dropped by 17-percent, with a 31-percent reduced risk of mortality.
