NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

After near record warmth for Valentine's day much colder is going to return. An arctic front will sweep across the area this evening!! It will be accompanied by snow showers that could be briefly heavy!! A quick 1/2" - 1" of snow is possible!! Behind the front.....gusty NW winds will usher in much colder temperatures!! Friday, we'll have plenty of sunshine, but it will be blustery and cool again. Highs will top out around 20°. The weekend appears to be cool for this time of year with sunshine and low-20s for Saturday. Some light snow or flurries are possible with temps in the low/mid-20s for Sunday. We've finally settled down this very active pattern for the time being, though it still will be colder than normal for most of the next 7 days.
