Winter weather advisories remain in place for almost all of the NBC26 viewing area until late tonight as snowfall has become widespread accumulating several inches by the afternoon. A widespread 2-4 inch total is expected with some higher totals around 5-6 inches possible in some localized areas where heavy snow was more prevalent. Snowfall ends by late tonight and skies remain cloudy overnight with lows in the mid teens and winds out of the northeast at 5 to 10 mph. A few flurries may fly on Monday as we get ready for our second storm. High temperatures will be in the upper 20s. The next snow storm to move in will arrive on Tuesday. Winter storm watches have already been issued in anticipation for this next storm. Snowfall will arrive before sun-break Tuesday. This storm looks to bring in double the amount of snow as Sundays storm. We will end up with 6-10 inches in many areas. Temperatures will be cold enough that everyone will see accumulating snowfall.
