NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

We have an active weather pattern in-store. For the most part today, we're going to have a break in the action after a little freezing drizzle early in the morning. Highs will top out around 30. We have yet another low pressure system on the way which will bring another mixed bag of precipitation later tonight with a low in the low-20s. The main brunt of this storm will be on Thursday where Green Bay and the Fox Cities will see areas of snow, sleet, rain and freezing rain at times. As of now, it looks like snow and sleet accumulations will be between 1-3", but icing could be a problem in spots. The farther you live to the north, the better your chance that 3-7" of snow will fall, and way up north, you could see 7-11". Because of all this potential mess, a Winter Storm Watch will go into effect at 6AM Thursday and continue into Thursday evening. Our far southern counties will have a Winter Weather Advisory starting tonight and lasting through Thursday. It gets cold and blustery Thursday night as the precipitation moves out. Lows will be in the low-single digits. Get ready for a cold, blustery day on Friday with highs in the upper-single digits with wind chills below zero. Saturday will be dry but then we'll have another chance of a little snow on Sunday. Temperatures over the next 7 days are generally going to be below average but there is no MAJOR arctic blast in the foreseeable future at least.
