KCFD: Early-morning fire destroys house, displaces 4 in historic northeast

Four people safely escaped a home as fire took over the three-story house early Wednesday morning, according to the Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department. Firefighters responded to 116 Jackson Ave. in the city’s historic northeast neighborhood at 1:50 a.m. A chief with the department said the house is a total loss.
