Description of this webinar:

‘WHO has recently published a technical document on “Attributes and principles of genomic data-sharing platforms supporting surveillance of pathogens with epidemic and pandemic potential”. It describes attributes and delineates operational principles of pathogen genomic data-sharing platforms (PGDSPs) to support effective, timely and equitable sharing and access to genomic data from pathogens with epidemic and pandemic potential.’

Objective: ‘This webinar will introduce the document’s key concepts and highlight its utility to inform data-sharing practices for data generators, platform development, and funding decisions. Participants will have an expanded understanding of the desirable features of PGDSPs. Speakers will present their experience and perspectives on pathogen data-sharing and how this document can guide work on this space.’
