Kash Patel Vows to Dismantle the FBI’s Weaponization

FBI Director Kash Patel announced that the agency is keeping open criminal investigations related both to the “Arctic Frost” program and to the “Russiagate” case. Patel stated that the FBI has uncovered illegal surveillance targeting senators and their staffers, which has reactivated several internal lines of investigation.

He also recalled his role—alongside Devin Nunes—in initially exposing the irregularities of Russiagate when he was a senior member of the House Intelligence Committee. Now, as FBI director, he assured that he will not abandon his mission to completely dismantle the political weaponization that affected the institution before he arrived. “You can bet we have ongoing criminal investigations on both fronts,” he said.
