Tow truck drivers busy during the cold snap

Tow truck drivers are slammed across northeast Wisconsin. Many have been fielding hundreds of calls this week alone for car problems during this cold snap. At Wilson's Towing in Neenah, they can hardly keep up. Managers say their drivers are working around the clock, fixing things like tires that went flat due to the cold or batteries that just couldn't stay alive. Tow truck drivers say even their trucks are dying and that this weather has created a terribly busy week for them. "Just keep it in the garage, hunker down,” says Sandra Gill, who got a flat in Neenah. “Don't go to work. Call in, stay home." "I know it's frustrating for them because some of them have been waiting days,” says Adrian Smith, with Wilson's Towing. “Stranded at home, car won't start. We're getting them as fast as we can and it's like that throughout this area it's the same thing." Right now, Wilson's Towing out of Neenah says it could be more than 8 hours until one of their tow truck drivers could get to a stranded driver. Just like most of us, they’re simply waiting for the warm snap to hit later this week.
