Hanukkah A Sign Pointing to the Coming Unrest

Yeshua reminds his disciples of a future event prophesied by the prophet Daniel. The context of this discussion is in Matthew 24 when his disciples asked him about specific events concerning the future. They wanted to know about when the Temple would be destroyed, and what shall be the sign of his coming, and the end of the world. When they asked this questions his disciples would have already been aware of the destruction of the Temple during the time of the Maccabees. Because they had access to these writings they would be able to follow along with the prophetic words that Yeshua contined to share. In this teaching and the one that is to come we will be exploring what happened in the Book of Maccabees and why it is so important to understanding the prophetic event Yeshua is sharing with us as his disciples in the book of Matthew and Mark.
