A Low Percent Run is a term that refers to a playthrough of a game where the objective is to collect as few required upgrades as possible and complete the game.

In the Metroid series, generally, no Energy Tanks are acquired if the player is going for the lowest possible percentage

Intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran receives a distress signal from a wrecked frigate in orbit around planet Tallon IV.
