One more frigid night before warmup starts

After 14 consecutive days of temperatures not making it above freezing and 3 significant snow events this month, we’re finally going to see a change in this bitterly cold pattern just in time for the weekend. Our warming trend starts tomorrow! We won’t make it above the freezing mark but at least temperatures will be over 0°. The real warmth kicks in by Saturday but first we have to get through another very cold night. Tonight will be another frigid night with lows at or below zero in the single digits. A weak disturbance will bring a good chance for some scattered snow showers mainly after 10pm; around an inch of accumulation can be expected. Friday will be mostly cloudy and warmer with highs in the lower 20s.
