The Holocaust: Proven at Nuremberg?

The present documentary, based on the book with the same title, investigates this claim by critically reviewing the prosecution’s evidence during the largest of the postwar trials, the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal, or IMT. First, the political and legal setting for the trial are investigated: the victors’ intentions, the trial’s legality and legitimacy, the laws and rules created for it, as well as its actual implementation. Next, the prosecution’s methods are scrutinized: the use of prior trials conducted under questionable circumstances, dubious expert reports, and testimonies and affidavits acquired under duress. Finally, an analysis of the most important pieces of evidence: two documentaries shown during the IMT, various witness statements and affidavits, as well as several sets of documents cherry-picked by the prosecution. The documentary concludes that truth was the first victim not only of World War Two, but also of the Nuremberg IMT, whose primary objective was to bury the truth under a pile of historical rubbish.
