Texas Dems' Hunger Games Just Got A New Tribute And She's Winning

Posted • December 2, 2025: Oh, this is going to get real interesting. If Crockett decides to run, what does that mean for Beto or Colin Allred? In the grievance Olympics, this puts Beto right out on the street. Even though 'Beto' tried to change his first name to pretend his is Latino, he's not. He's a rich white nepo baby. That's a whole bunch of strikes against him. Then, we get to Colin Allred. He is a 'person of color', but he is a man. So, while his minority status would usually give him the gold medal, there is a 'person of color -female' in the race if Jasmine Crockett joins and that means major grievance points. The only thing that could make Crockett an even bigger winner would be if she was gay, but she has never indicated she is. She also isn't poor. She went to a fancy private school growing up. Allred was reared by a single mom, but she was a teacher and he's never met his Dad. In the end, it seems like Crockett would be the candidate the left would most likely support.

Democrats don’t need three powerhouse candidates running against each other in a state like Texas. Let alone four. There aren’t enough Democratic resources. It's nice that's she talking about data and horse race strategy, but what would be her message in that primary that would help her in the general election? What would be her top 5 policies? Would she abandon corporate interests and run a grassroots campaign? Crockett doesn't talk policy. She goes on television and X, melts down a whole bunch and posts video clips she thinks make her look like a tough guy. Beto and Allred need to go. I’m sorry but Beto failed to bring the fire required for Texas.

Zohran led with progressive policies but also had a sharp tongue with Cuomo, so unless Beto can capture the righteous anger people have, Crockett’s running away with it. Oh, Beto is going to be forced out, but he is not going to go quietly. He's been running for office for years now and hasn't won. He thinks he is owed it.
