Duke 4y A777538 kennel 145 PACC shelter pretty untrusting he gave me more than I expected20251130228

I went around to the service side of Duke's kennel where I could get a more clear video of this very nervous guy. This was the first time Duke and I met so he didn't know if he could trust me or not. My treaties I offered him weren't that high value so he ended up not having any food I gave him. I feel that it might take quite a while to get him to loosen. It was late at night, a long day and I was being kinda pushy entering Duke's kennel. Still, he did smell me a little but I think even that was a lot to ask. If I would have wrapped my hand around the bar of his kennel door, Duke would have backed away. I don't think he would have even have smelled me at all if I had grabbed his kennel door bar. I tried not to look into his eyes a lot, maybe that would've made him more nervous.
