I used to be quite sensitive to doggie barks. When doggies would bark at me, I would automatically assume that the doggie didn't like me. With time, and being around a lot of different doggies, I've found that doggies have different barking styles. Some doggies bark at me just to get my attention not because they are mad or happy with me. Other doggies bark because they want me to leave because I make them feel uncomfortable. Still other doggies bark at me because their jealous I'm with another doggie and not them. Nugget barked at me in the beginning because he wanted my attention or I made him kinda nervous. Nugget has learned after us interacting many times that I don't like doggies to be barking at me all the time. Nugget also has found that he doesn't need to bark at me so I will give him food. When he sees new possible adopters, Nugget is not barking at them because he wants them to go away mostly. Nugget is just barking at people because he is excited to see them, he wants to be with them and he wants them to adopt him. Unfortunately Nugget has a big bark and he scares a lot of people away instead of bringing them closer to him. I sure do love Nugget💗 I hope that he finds a loving adopting home some day❤️
