Motorcycle Driver Critical After Accident, LEGGETT, November 27, 2025 - At approximately 2:13 pm on November 27, 2025, the driver of a red Honda motorcycle was north-bound on US-59. As the driver was approaching the 59/FM-942 intersection, the driver of a south-bound white 2013 Nissan Sentra attempted a left turn directly in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle broad sided the car. The motorcycle came to rest right there on the pavement. The driver of the car (no names released yet) or his passenger were hurt. The driver of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet and sustained a major head injury. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with Deputies from The Polk County Sheriff's Office, and Troopers Sean Barnes, Simon Mijares, and Cesar Davila with The Texas Highway Patrol. Livingston Volunteer Fire Department set up a landing zone of 59. The driver of the motorocycle was flown from the scene in critical condition. All traffic onn 59 was blocked during investigation, cleanup, and flight operations. This accident remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.
