A HARD LOOK AT TRUMP 2.0, GOVERNMENT FAILURE, AI POWER CRISES, AND THE FUTURE OF CONSERVATISM
On this powerful episode of Open Range, guest host Perry Schumacher sits down with Rob Muntz, District 46 Chair in Fargo, for a bold and unapologetic conversation about America’s future. Perry revisits last week’s discussion on the first year of Trump 2.0 and challenges Rob to use Christian discernment while breaking down corruption, government failures, and the spiritual chaos shaping the country.
They start with a shocking quote from Dan Bongino about corruption inside federal law enforcement and question why the FBI has revealed nothing new about the Butler assassination attempt or January 6th. Perry and Rob ask whether once-trusted leaders like Kash Patel and Dan Bongino have been pressured into protecting “noble lies” instead of the truth. They also call out the disturbing pattern behind recent assassinations and mass violence, tying it to radical online subcultures that Perry describes as “demonic” and dangerous.
The conversation shifts to the 43-day government shutdown and America’s collapsing health-care system. Perry argues that patch-work fixes—like Trump’s idea to pay citizens directly instead of insurance companies—can’t solve a system that’s sinking under $38 trillion in national debt and a fading manufacturing base. They question whether Congress has the courage to reset anything back to pre-COVID realities, where everything wasn’t inflated and broken.
Perry then makes a strong claim that the Baby Boomer generation may go down as the “worst generation” because nothing they were trusted to conserve has survived. He and Rob dig into federalism, pointing out how the Left now embraces states’ rights only when it benefits their immigration agenda—after calling conservatives “illegal” for the same arguments under Obama and Biden.
Next, they tackle one of the biggest threats facing America’s future: AI server farms. A massive new facility between Fargo and Harwood sparks a larger warning—these new data centers will require as much power as the entire nation of Japan. Perry asks where that power will come from, whether the public grid will suffer, and whether AI itself should worry everyday Americans. Both men see the “climate crisis” rhetoric collapsing now that Big Tech needs unlimited power to fuel AI expansion.
To close the show, Rob introduces a brand-new Fargo Conservative group, committed to energizing local involvement, strengthening community values, and pushing back against political overreach. He shares the group’s goals and encourages viewers to get involved in the battle for North Dakota’s future.
This episode delivers hard truth, strong conservative analysis, and the kind of fearless conversation viewers expect from BEK TV.
