Every believer walks through seasons of heaviness. Even the strongest Christians have nights of tears, days of discouragement, and moments when the heart feels overwhelmed. But God has not left His children without comfort. The Scriptures shine with hope, reminding us that sadness is not the end of our story.

Points to Consider

I. God Sees Your Tears
A. God collects your tears
Psalm 56:8 – “Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”

God is not indifferent to your pain. Every tear is noticed, remembered, and valued.
You are not crying alone—God is with you in the valley.

B. Jesus Himself knew sorrow
Isaiah 53:3 – “A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief…”

Christ is not a distant Savior. He understands. He has walked through loneliness, rejection, pain, and heaviness.

II. God Is Near To The Brokenhearted
A. His nearness is greatest when our hearts hurt

Psalm 34:18 – “The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

Your sadness does not push God away—
it pulls Him close.

B. His strength works best in our weakness

2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Sadness is not a failure. It is a place where God’s power shines.

III. God Invites Us To Cast Our Cares On Him
A. He doesn’t want you to carry burdens alone

1 Peter 5:7 – “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

The load you carry may feel heavy—but to God, it is not too much.
He wants your anxieties. He welcomes your worries.

B. His peace is supernatural

Philippians 4:7 – “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

God’s peace doesn’t always remove the storm,
but it calms the storm inside us.

IV. Hope Is The Believer’s Anchor
A. Hope is stronger than feelings

Psalm 42:5 –
“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God…”

The psalmist talks to his own soul.
“Why are you down? Hope in God!”

Sometimes you must preach to yourself—
not listen to your fears.

B. God gives beauty for ashes

Isaiah 61:3 –
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning…”

God never wastes your sorrow.
He transforms it.

V. Joy Is Coming — God Promises It
A. Weeping is temporary
Psalm 30:5 –
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
The night may feel long, but the morning is guaranteed.

B. God Himself wipes tears away

Revelation 21:4 –
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes…”

Every sorrow is temporary.
Every disappointment will be healed.
Every heartbreak will be mended by God Himself.

VI. You Are Never Alone
A. God will never leave you
Hebrews 13:5 – “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Even when you don’t feel Him— He is there.

B. Nothing can separate you from His love

Romans 8:38–39 –
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life… nor things present, nor things to come…shall be able to separate us from the love of God…”

Not sadness.
Not anxiety.
Not weakness.
Not fear.
Nothing.

Tell your heart:
God sees me. God is with me. God understands me. God loves me. God will restore me. God has joy prepared for me.
And once again say, like David:

“Hope thou in God.”

Message/conclusion:
Let us hope in the Lord remembring all our benefits of being His children
