Retro Game Players 09 - Fox's Peter Pan And The Pirates

Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates was an early 90's cartoon series about the adventures of Peter Pan and his friends as they got on many adventures and fight the evil Captain Hook. It only lasted 1 season, and it had 65 episodes. Now it's considered a forgotten cartoon, and I only remember the cartoon from a YouTube video. I still remember seeing the NES game on a store shelf when I was a little kid and that was all I can remember.

So now here we are playing this piece of shit known as Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates. The title screen looks so stupid because it shows Peter looking like a dumb ass flying like a ghost. The game is a simple platform game where you go from point A to point B. WRONG!!!! To clear a stage, you have to defeat all the pirates first then you go to the end of the stage.

Your only weapon in the game is the dagger, and you can fly but it takes fairy dust from you. You can get more fairy dust, and you can get plenty of health in this game because you can't die easily in this game. But the controls are difficult and shitty. You have to hold the A button and use the D-Pad to fly. If you let go of the A button you fall.

The stages are insane and to get to the final boss you have to play the pirate ship level 3 times. So basically, you're playing the same level over and over again. When you do get to Captain Hook you have to push him over the plank, and he falls down and gets eaten by a crocodile. The game ends like shit with Peter saying, "I Win It's so much fun being Peter Pan." I think it's more fun being Shigeru Miyamoto than Peter Pan.

Eun-Ji and I have read many stories about Peter Pan and the Pirates and how shitty this game is and it's so shitty even Eun-Ji wouldn't play this, so she let me do it for her. I don't blame her because who would even want to play this horrible pile of puke.

Me and Eun-Ji give this game 2 thumbs down and it should go into the garbage.
