J.K. Rowling VS Stephen King: The Crisis of Critical Thought

Something deeper has been revealed in America and in how people think, in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk. J.K. Rowling and Stephen King, two prominent authors, have shown two very different sets of values that seem to reflect the values of most Americans, for good and bad. One reflective, self-questioning, and capable of change. The other reactionary, impulsive, and moral-signaling.

Our culture that celebrates rage and mockery also fears nuance, but Rowling’s humility might be a blueprint for reclaiming critical thought in a broken society.
