DANIELS: “Another major protest against the Trump Administration is planned for today. And this time, it’s right here in his backyard of Washington, D.C. the remove the regime protest is set to kick off at noon at the Lincoln memorial, where people will demand Trump’s impeachment and removal behind a backdrop of live music and stand up comedy. Today’s rally comes during a record setting year for demonstrations in the U.S. as more people become discontented with Trump’s policies. Just last month, more than 7 million people participated in the no protest. You guys remember that? With us now is miss now reporter Maya Eaglin live in Washington, D.C. with the latest. We are still a couple of hours away from things kicking off, maya. But what are you hearing from people this morning?”

EAGLIN: “Yeah. Good morning Eugene. Hey guys. We are right by the steps of the Lincoln memorial. Behind me, you can see some of the folks setting up. I’ve been talking to a few of the protesters who say they are out here because they are frustrated. I’m going to pull up a quote from the website from resist the regime to kind of explain why folks are gathering today. It reads in part, quote, the removal coalition exists to elevate the removal demand of the protests and direct direct action space compel media coverage of this objective, translate that pressure to lawmakers. Empower activists to be explicit about demanding impeachment and removal, and amplify organizations committed to this constitutional imperative. There’s one woman from South Carolina. She traveled all the way up here for this today. Take a listen to why she came.”

UNKNOWN: “When the president sends out us troops in the cities, I mean, the next step is military. It’s. He’s trying to start a civil war. He’s trying to start something so that he can justify putting the insurrection act into so he can just. That’s what. That’s what dictators do. That’s what Hitler did. That’s what orban did. That’s what Putin did. And we’re just following in their steps because he loves those guys.”

EAGLIN: “Marion said that she was here in Washington, D.C. back in the 70s protesting the Vietnam war. And she hopes that people gathering today will create a sense of empowerment, a sense of community. And that’s pretty important because I want to show the approval ratings for President Trump right now. There was a recent poll that came out earlier this month in November. It showed a 60% disapproval of the job of President Trump. Right now, only 38% of folks approving. So we will be out here all day today. There’s a few other resist regime protests happening around the country, but we’ll be keeping the latest up with you guys here in Washington, D.C. back to you.”

CAPEHART: “We are going to take that jacket.”

DANIELS: “I know we’re all looking. We’re going to call some bosses. We want jackets, too.”
