Switching From Evangelical To Presbyterian? w. @redeemed_zoomer

Tonight at 8pm EST, we’re sitting down with Redeemed Zoomer to talk honestly about where I’m at in my faith journey and why I feel I can’t stay in the modern evangelical movement anymore. This isn’t about drama or throwing stones. It’s about wrestling with real questions, searching scripture, looking at history, and trying to follow Jesus as faithfully as possible.

Over the past few years, something has felt “off.” The constant excitement culture, the personality-driven churches, the lack of depth, and the growing disconnect from historic Christian belief made me step back and ask hard questions. I began reading older theologians, looking into how the early church worshiped, and comparing that with what I saw every Sunday. The more I learned, the more I realized that many evangelical churches don’t connect well to the broader historic Christian tradition. I found myself longing for something deeper and more rooted.

That search has led me to look seriously at historic denominations like Presbyterianism and Lutheranism. They are grounded in scripture, connected to the ancient church, and shaped by confessions that actually mean something. They take the sacraments seriously. They have an ordered, thoughtful approach to worship. They see faith as something bigger than just personal feelings and big events. It’s a faith that has stood the test of time.

Redeemed Zoomer will help us walk through big questions.
Why are people leaving evangelicalism?
What makes historic Christianity compelling?
How do creeds, confessions, liturgy, and sacraments shape faith?
What does the Presbyterian tradition actually believe and practice?
How does it differ from Lutheranism or from modern evangelicalism?
And what should someone consider before joining a historic denomination?

We’ll be talking about scripture, tradition, and how the church has understood Christianity through the centuries. This conversation isn’t about trying to convince anyone to leave their church. It’s about giving honest answers to real questions and helping believers think carefully about where they worship and why.

Whether you’re curious, confused, frustrated with your church experience, or simply interested in church history and theology, you’ll get a lot out of this. We’re going to take our time, listen to each other, and explore all of this with respect and clarity.

Everyone is welcome. Bring your questions, your doubts, and an open Bible.

Join us live tonight at 8pm EST.
