An massive deep space object thousands of times more massive that Interstellar Object 3I/ATLAS is currently directly below the Solar System and moving towards its closest approach to the Sun at ~10.95 AU January 2031. Designated C/2014 UN271 (Bernardinelli-Bernstein), this object is nearly spherical and has an estimated diameter of nearly 150 km across, making it the largest comet ever observed. It's been in deep space, tens of thousands of AU away from the Sun for hundreds of thousands to millions of years, and this approach may be its closest ever since the formation of our galaxy. It's been outbursting at extreme distances from the Sun, which is highly anomalous, and we DON'T KNOW exactly what it is or what it'll do as it gets closer as it may represent a non-linear system.
