We have a saying in Minnesota about this time of year. “Those who rise before the sun…shit, I need coffee! I don’t remember the rest of that shit! Hand me that coffee, boy. Grab your shit, we'll eat and I’ll drop you off in your quadrant. You're on your own today. Make me proud.” My pops would growl. Well, on that note, it’s that time of year again for us who hunt. Us, our CD players are crammed full of good rock and metal for the road.

If you hunt, cool, if not, learn. It’s a huge rush, man. Huge rush! Like goin into the mosh pit for the first time, jumpin out of a plane, feeling that horsepower under your control, that vehicle bending and turning, the rush, your first time pushing a motorcycle to its limit, you get the picture.

That’s what droppin a huge buck is like after you’ve waited in the freezing weather, trying to stay warm. BAM! Track, and tag, then thanking the deer for the hunt and the food and warmth of the pelt the deer provides. If you tag a buck and if the rack is a large number count, on the wall he goes! Like in the thumbnail, that angle is the perfect angle for a shot. Broadside. The closest bond men can have is on the hunt. An experience like no other. Hunt well, gentlemen, teach your boys well.

All those memories, over the years, of the men that I hunted with, My dad, brothers, family, and our friends. Some are still with us, others, have passed on to the big hunt in the sky. And lastly, after the hunt, good food, good brew, and awesome fuckin music being played as we sat around the bonfire shootin’ the shit. Everything we saw, we killed, stocked up for another winter. This show is dedicated to my hunting party…”Let the hunt…begin!”
