DANGEROUS winter weather this week. After the 5th biggest single day January snowstorm on record......our attention now turns the bitter cold air headed this way!! Today is going to be a blustery and cold day with highs struggling to make it into the low single digits above zero. Wind chills will be between -15 and -25 through the day with a few flurries or a snow shower. The gusty winds will also produce blowing & drifting snow. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for most of the area until this evening because of the blowing snow and icy conditions. The salt is barely working with these cold temperatures. A WIND CHILL WARNING will go into effect this evening all the way through Thursday morning. We will have dangerous wind chills on Wednesday and Thursday mornings like we haven't seen in many, many winters. Wind chills on Wednesday & Thursday morning will be in the -30s, -40s & possibly -50s. Shockingly, we go back up above freezing over the weekend.
