Taunton, Massachusetts Man "Carlos Monteiro" Dies In Fatal Crash On Rt 24 South In West Bridgewater.

A man died early Sunday morning in a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Route 24 in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

State police announced Saturday they were investigating the deadly crash that occurred shortly before 7 a.m. on Route 24 south just prior to the exit for Route 106.

A preliminary investigation shows a passenger car rear-ended a tractor trailer, killing the driver of the car, who has since been identified as 33-year-old Carlos Monteiro, of Taunton.

"We offer our condolences to his family and loved ones," police said in a statement.

There was no word from police on the tractor-trailer driver.

Images from the scene showed a car with extensive damage, and an Amazon Prime tractor-trailer parked nearby.
