COP30: Why global temperatures keep rising despite decades of UN climate talks

Despite 30 years of UN conferences, no agreement has been reached to pull the world back from the brink of major climate change.
A UN report earlier this month found action following the Paris Agreement has barely affected a predicted rise in global temperatures.
The 2015 deal aimed to limit warming to 1.5 degrees, to avoid the worst effects of climate change.
