Pierce County, WA - Thurston County SWAT apprehended a double murder suspect in Pierce County following a high-speed chase Wednesday night.

The suspect is believed to be involved in a drive-by shooting that killed two teenage boys in Lacey.

Despite efforts to box him in during the pursuit, the suspect managed to escape and fled at speeds reaching 117 mph, officials said.

A Thurston County Sheriff SWAT operator attempted to use a Grappler device, but the line snapped, allowing the suspect to continue fleeing. The pursuit ended when a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, causing the suspect's vehicle to roll.

The suspect was ejected but sustained only minor injuries.

An AR-15 with a 60-round magazine was found ejected from the vehicle, along with numerous other firearms observed inside, officials said. The patrol vehicle was undamaged in the maneuver.

The suspect, a 20-year-old man, is believed to be the second person involved in a drive-by shooting in Lacey on Nov. 14 that killed two teenage boys. The boys have been identified as 16-year-old Alexander Borgen and 17-year-old Deven Borgen.

Lacey police already have the other suspect in custody. Trequanne Trenelle Wilson-Mason, a 20-year-old from Lacey, appeared in court Wednesday on murder charges.

According to court records, the fatal shooting may have been a case of mistaken identity.
